Seems like they are going to town with the renovation of the Central Station. Newly designed toilets with relaxing (or not) wallpaper to stare at while you spend a penny (well 2zl exactly) have been installed. Replacing the grot is the company 2theloo from Holland and they are certainly an improvement on the previous public conveniences. You can also purchase drinks and other items before or after your trip. Check them out at 2theloo.com Add Comment Although it is known for being a drab and dreary place, with its labyrinth of tunnels and communist overtones, it is finally getting a facelift. We thought it would be interesting to show it as it was, before the update. There is now a move to preserve old, communist neon signs. What started off as an art project, has gained a lot more popularity since. We appreciate the artistic value in these signs and see them as a product of their time. Unfortunately, many have been removed from the shops, bars and restaurants where they once were. So, we took a trip around the city to photograph a few remaining neon signs from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Find the Neon Museum Facebook page here -http://www.facebook.com/NeonMuzeum |
