The underground in Warsaw is colloquially known as the Metro. Line 1 is now complete (going from the south to the north of the city) and they have just started work on line 2 which will go from west to east. It is clean and safe with some overcrowding at rush hours. The logo for the Metro stations has a characteristic blue 'M' on a yellow background.
